In Acer Travelmate 2312LM we've found Celeron M360 1.4GHz cpu and in Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G we have a pleasure to find Turion64 ML32 central processor unit.
We prefere more 15.4" monitor on Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G than 15" monitor on Acer Travelmate 2312LM.
Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G model we've tested had more RAM (1GB) than Acer Travelmate 2312LM (0.25GB).
2GB is maximum supportable RAM memory on both notebooks
Graphic card in use in Acer Travelmate 2312LM is i852GM DVMT and in Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G is ATI Xpress 200M.
Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G had more capacity of hard drive (80GB, comparing to 40GB).
We dislike the fact that bluetooth isn't available on these models.
No infrared.
Acer Travelmate 2312LM doesn't support firewire connections.
PCMCIA is available only on Acer Travelmate 2312LM and it is needed by some TV cards, external hard drives and external modems.
Fast internet speed (1Gbit/s) isn't supportable by any of these notebooks.
Only model Amilo A1655G have cardreader inside.
Disadvantage of both is lack of DVI output for connection to some modern TFT monitors.
Since in major hotels there are wireless connection (and many other places), big disadvantage of Acer Travelmate 2312LM is lack of wireless.
Quite disadvantage of both models is lack of web camera which is needed for Internet telephony.
Travelmate 2312LM drives none and Amilo A1655G drives XP Home operating system.
