Central processor unit on our Acer Aspire 3681WXMI we've tested was Celeron M410 1.46GHz, and on Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV660 was Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0GHz.
We like more Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV660 17" inch screen than Acer Aspire 3681WXMI's 14.1" size.
Maximum declared screen resolution on Qosmio G35-AV660 (1920x1200) beats Aspire 3681WXMI (1280x800).
To runs many programs at once we've found Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV660 better with its 2GB of RAM than Acer Aspire 3681WXMI with 0.5GB. More memory means less swapping.
Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV660 supports more maximum amount of RAM (4) than Acer Aspire 3681WXMI (2GB).
The RAM memory in use on both laptops is DDR2.
Acer Aspire 3681WXMI weights 2.35kg, but Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV660 isn't really suitable for travellers with 4.58kg.
Video card inside Aspire 3681WXMI is Intel GMA900 and other laptop has Nvidia Go 7600 inside.

Only Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV660 has some additional software : Microsoft Office OneNote 2003, Works 8.5.
