Processor in BenQ R55.G24 is Core Duo T2300 1.6GHz, and in laptop Samsung M700-1860 is Pentium M750 1.86GHz.
We prefere more 19" monitor on Samsung M700-1860 than 15.4" monitor on BenQ R55.G24.
If you like higher screen resolutions than you might decide that Samsung M700-1860 is better with its 1680x1050 than BenQ R55.G24 with 1280x800.
Inside both notebooks were 1GB of memory.
M700-1860 allows maximum 2GB RAM - higher than R55.G24 (-1GB RAM).
Both BenQ R55.G24 and Samsung M700-1860 on our test use same type of RAM memory - DDR2.
Graphic card in use in BenQ R55.G24 is Nvidia Go 7400 and in laptop Samsung M700-1860 is Nvidia Go 6600.
Each notebook have 128MB of video memory built on its video card.
Each laptop contained 80GB of storage on its hard drives.
Unfortunatly, owners of these models might have problems for sharing data with their digital cameras and mobile phones due to lack of internal bluetooth device.
Infrared, which is useful for communication with some mobile phones is available only on Samsung M700-1860.
Both models have PCMCIA built-in needed by some TV cards for laptops.
Note that BenQ R55.G24 cannot perform 1Gbit/s connection on fast networks, it will work on those, but with speed of 100Mbit/s.
These laptops have cardreaders inside them.
It is bad that these laptops cannot be connected to some new monitors since they don't have DVI.
Operating system is XP Home on both.
Only Samsung M700-1860 has some additional software : MGI Video Wave, Nero Norton Antivirus (90Tage) Photo Suite,Power DVD 3.0.
