We prefere more 15.4" monitor on BenQ R55.G24 than 13" monitor on BenQ S53W.G01.
To runs many programs at once we've found BenQ R55.G24 better with its 1GB of RAM than BenQ S53W.G01 with 0.5GB. More memory means less swapping.
On both laptops in use is DDR2 memory.
S53W.G01 is quite lighter with its 2.15kg weight, than R55.G24 with 2.8kg.
These laptops cannot communicate with some small devices like mobile phones and cameras without external bluetooth dongles because they don't have bluetooth built-in.
Infrared, which is useful for communication with some mobile phones is available only on BenQ S53W.G01.
Both models have firewire built-in needed by some video devices.
No PCMCIA on model BenQ S53W.G01. It is needed by some TV cards .
If you sometimes travel to destination without broadband connection, you don't have to worry since both laptops have internal modems.
