On both models screen size is 15.4".
RAM memory was on both laptops 1GB.
We will say that Gateway MX6912 is less in weight with its 2.86kg, comparing to 2.9kg which other laptop has.
Graphic card in Gateway MX6912 is Intel 950 and in laptop Asus Z 9274 VM is Nvidia Geforce 7300.
Gamers might prefer Asus Z 9274 VM since it seems it has better graphic card with 64MB of its memory.
Hard disks are 100GB of storage .
Both laptops have same rotating speed (5400rpm) of their hard disks.
Lack of bluetooth on Gateway MX6912 might mean that you need to buy externall bluetooth device for manipulating pictures from mobile phone or camera.
