Gateway MX6453 went with Turion X2 Dual 1.6GHz central processor unit built in, and BenQ S53W.G01 with Pentium M750 1.86GHz.
We've found 15.4" monitor size on MX6453 quite better than 13" at S53W.G01.
More RAM on Gateway MX6453 means less swapping on hard drive. MX6453 had 2GB. BenQ S53W.G01 had only 0.5GB of RAM which might not suit users who wants to run many programs at once.
With maximum 2GB of RAM it can support Gateway MX6453 can feel a bit more proud than BenQ S53W.G01.
The RAM memory in use on both laptops is DDR2.
Travellers should keep in mind that BenQ S53W.G01 is only 2.15kg in weight, but Gateway MX6453 is much heavier with 2.86kg.
Gateway MX6453 laptop is more suitable with its 160GB hard drive for storing bunch of media files like music .
Lack of bluetooth on Gateway MX6453 might mean that you need to buy externall bluetooth dongle for downloading and uploading pictures from handy or camera.
Only BenQ S53W.G01 is able to communicate with some small devices using infrared connection.
