Laptop Gateway MP8708 has Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0GHz processor inside and laptop Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Xi 1546 has Core Duo T2400 1.83GHz CPU.
The same 17" screen size is on both Gateway MP8708 and Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Xi 1546.
Inside both laptops were 2GB of memory.
Graphic card in use in Gateway MP8708 is Intel 950 and in Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Xi 1546 is ATI Mobility X1800.
Graphic cards on Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Xi 1546 have own memory (256MB) and because of that mainboard's controller works faster.
More hard disk space were at Gateway MP8708 (160GB is contast to 80GB).
Mobile phones and cameras tends to use bluetooth for sharing its multimedia data and they can connect only with Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Xi 1546 using built in bluetooth connection.
Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Xi 1546 doesn't support firewire connections.
PCMCIA on Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Xi 1546 unable them to connect to some TV cards for laptops.
Note that Gateway MP8708 cannot perform 1Gbit/s connection on fast networks, it will work on those, but with speed of 100Mbit/s.
Both notebooks have cardreader. At Gateway MP8708 it reads 4 different card types and cardreader in Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Xi 1546 supports 1 different card types.
It is bad that these laptops cannot be connected to some new monitors since they don't have DVI.
Only Gateway MP8708 has some additional software : Works 8.5, Money 2006.
