In Gateway MX3414 we've found Turion X2 Dual 1.6GHz cpu and in Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G we have a pleasure to find Turion64 ML32 processor.
We've found 15.4" monitor size on Amilo A1655G quite better than 14.1" at MX3414.
Both Gateway MX3414 and Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G on our test had same amount of RAM memory - 1GB.
Video card inside MX3414 is Nvidia Go 6100 and other laptop has ATI Xpress 200M inside.
Gateway MX3414 laptop is more suitable with its 100GB hard drive for storing bunch of media files like music and movies.
Don't forget that you might not be able easily to upload/download pictures on Gateway MX3414 from your camera and mobile phone during the lack of bluetooth connection.
Infrared is built-in just in Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G.
There are no firewire built-in on Gateway MX3414.
Only Gateway MX3414 has PCMCIA.
These notebooks are unable to have fast internet connection, so maximum LAN speed they run is 100Mbit/s.
Cardreaders in both laptops are able to read 4 card types.
None has DVI output so you cannot connect them to some new TFT monitors.
Both notebooks are equipped with 54Mbit/s internal wireless.
Internet telephony is better with web camera but these laptops hasn't one .
Operating system on Gateway MX3414 is XP Media Center and on Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G is XP Home.
There are additional software only on Gateway MX3414 and it is Works 8.5, Money 2006.
