In Gateway MX6912 we've found Core Duo T2300E 1.66GHz cpu and in Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G we have a pleasure to find Turion64 ML32 CPU.
Both models have the same 15.4" screen size.
We've got both notebooks with 1GB of RAM memory.
2GB is maximum supportable RAM memory on both laptops
Video card inside MX6912 is Intel 950 and other laptop has ATI Xpress 200M inside.
Gateway MX6912 had more hard drive space (100 GB) - definetly something which users who hold movies on it will certainly like.
If you have some bluetooth devices if you buy Gateway MX6912 you will need external bluetooth dongle which is not excellent idea.
If you have infrared enabled devices if you buy Gateway MX6912 you won't be able to communicate with them.
These models have firewire (IEEE 1394) communication device embedded.
There are no PCMCIA on Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G.
Fast internet speed (1Gbit/s) isn't supportable by any of notebooks.
These notebooks have cardreader inside (4 different card types can read).
Disadvantage of both is lack of DVI output for connection to some modern monitors.
Each laptop has 54Mbit/s wireless
XP Home is operating system on both.
Only Gateway MX6912 has some additional software : Works 8.5, Money 2006.
