In both Gateway MX6448 and HP Pavilion dv9056ea we've found Turion X2 Dual 1.6GHz processor inside.
We like more HP Pavilion dv9056ea 17" inch screen than Gateway MX6448's 15.4" size.
For customers whose need more RAM we've found HP Pavilion dv9056ea with its 2GB better than 1 GB on Gateway MX6448.
On both laptops in use is DDR2 memory.
Graphic is built around ATI XPRESS 1150 on MX6448, but graphic on other laptop is Nvidia Go 7600.
Each laptop contained 120GB of storage on its hard drives.
If you have some bluetooth devices if you buy Gateway MX6448 you will need external bluetooth dongle which is not excellent idea.
There are no infrared embedded in Gateway MX6448.
Firewire useful for some video equipment communication is built-in both laptops.
HP Pavilion dv9056ea doesn't have PCMCIA.
For some rare location without proper Internet connection, you might need modem which is available in both laptops in this rating.
Cardreaders are inside both of these laptops.
These laptops don't have DVI output to allow you to see its screen on bigger modern monitors.
Only Pavilion dv9056ea has TV output.
Operating system on MX6448 is XP Media Center and on Pavilion dv9056ea is XP Home.
