In Gateway MX6446 we've found Turion64 2.0GHz cpu and in LG S1-MDGBG we have a pleasure to find Core Duo T2500 2.0GHz CPU.
TFT screen on both monitor is 15.4" large.
In both laptops we've found 1GB of RAM.
Gateway MX6446 supports more maximum amount of RAM (2) than LG S1-MDGBG (-1GB).
LG S1-MDGBG could be described as a bit less heavier with its 2.8kg, comparing to 2.86kg .
Graphic is built around ATI XPRESS 1150 on MX6446, but graphic on other is built using ATI Radeon X1600.
We like that graphic card on LG S1-MDGBG have own video memory (256MB) and therefore its faster since it doesn't use main memory and mainboard controller is less loaded.
If you have some bluetooth devices if you buy Gateway MX6446 you will need external bluetooth which is not excellent idea.
There are no firewire built-in on LG S1-MDGBG.
Both models have PCMCIA built-in needed by some TV cards for laptops.
Modem is built in both laptops.
Both laptops have cardreaders.
Disadvantage of both is lack of DVI output for connection to some modern TFT monitors.
Advantage of LG S1-MDGBG is existance of TV output.
Each laptop has 54Mbit/s wireless
Internet telephony is better with web camera but these notebooks hasn't one .
MX6446 drives XP Media Center and S1-MDGBG drives XP Pro operating system.
Only Gateway MX6446 has special software pack : Works 8.5, Money 2006.
