Gateway MX6446 came to us with Turion64 2.0GHz central processor inside and Microstar 262B came to us with Core Duo T2300 1.6GHz CPU inside.
We like more Gateway MX6446 15.4" inch screen than Microstar 262B's 12.1" size.
Gateway MX6446 model we've tested had more RAM (1GB) than Microstar 262B (0.5GB).
Video card in use in Gateway MX6446 is ATI XPRESS 1150 and in Microstar 262B is Intel 945GM.
More storage for multimedia (mpeg, avi) were available at Gateway MX6446 (more space on hard disk).
Bluetooth connection, useful for sharing multimedia data with cameras , is available only on Microstar 262B.
Infrared is missing on Gateway MX6446.
Both models have firewire built-in needed by some video devices.
Only Gateway MX6446 has PCMCIA.
Cardreader is inside both laptops.
It is bad that these laptops cannot be connected to some new monitors since they don't have DVI.
These notebooks aren't very good for video conferencing since they haven't web camera embedded.
Operating system on Gateway MX6446 is XP Media Center and on Microstar 262B is XP Home.
Only Gateway MX6446 has special software pack : Works 8.5, Money 2006.
