In Gateway MX6448 we've found Turion X2 Dual 1.6GHz cpu and in Microstar 262B we have a pleasure to find Core Duo T2300 1.6GHz central processor unit.
Monitor in Gateway MX6448 is 15.4" size, better than 12.1" screen in Microstar 262B.
For customers whose need more RAM we've found Gateway MX6448 with its 1GB better than 0.5 GB on Microstar 262B.
Both laptops use same RAM memory (DDR2).
Graphic is built around ATI XPRESS 1150 on MX6448, but graphic on other is built using Intel 945GM.
Gateway MX6448 had more capacity of hard disk (120GB, comparing to 60GB).
If you have bluetooth devices if you buy Gateway MX6448 you will need external bluetooth dongle which is not excellent idea.
Infrared is missing on Gateway MX6448.
Both models have firewire built-in needed by some video devices.
PCMCIA is available only on Gateway MX6448 and it is needed by some TV cards and external modems.
Both laptops have cardreader.
They don't have DVI for new LCD monitors.
Each laptop has 54Mbit/s wireless
Quite disadvantage of both models is lack of web camera which is needed for Internet telephony.
Operating system is XP Media Center on Gateway MX6448 and XP Home on Microstar 262B.
Only Gateway MX6448 has some additional software : Works 8.5, Money 2006.
