CPU on our Gateway MP6954 we've tested was Core Duo T2050 1.6GHz, and on Samsung X11-T5500 CeSeba was Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66Ghz.
We've found 15.4" monitor size on MP6954 quite better than 14" at X11-T5500 CeSeba.
You should expirience less swapping on Gateway MP6954 than on Samsung X11-T5500 CeSeba when you run many programs, since Gateway MP6954 has 2GB of RAM, comparing to 1GB on other model.
