In Gateway MX6453 we've found Turion X2 Dual 1.6GHz cpu and in Toshiba Satellite M60-182 we have a pleasure to find Pentium M760 2.0GHz central processor unit.
We prefere 17 inch wide screen size at model Satellite M60-182 than 15.4 built at model MX6453.
More RAM means less swapping when you run many programs at once and therefore Gateway MX6453 with 2GB RAM is better choise than Toshiba Satellite M60-182 with 0.5GB.
Both laptops use same RAM memory (DDR2).
There are more free RAM slots available on Satellite M60-182 - 1.
Graphic is built around ATI XPRESS 1150 on MX6453, but graphic on other is ATI X700.
Graphic cards on Toshiba Satellite M60-182 have own memory (128MB) and therefore mainboard's memory controller works faster.
Gateway MX6453 had more capacity of hard drive (160GB, comparing to 60GB).
Bluetooth dongle available only at Toshiba Satellite M60-182 is usefull if one have bluetooth devices like some cameras, mobile phones, etc.
There are no infrared embedded in Gateway MX6453.
