Processor on our HP dv8301nr we've tested was Turion64 1.8GHz, and on Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G was Turion64 ML32.
We've found 17" monitor size on dv8301nr quite better than 15.4" at Amilo A1655G.
Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G came with more RAM memory - 1GB comparing to 0.5GB on HP dv8301nr.
On both laptops in use is DDR2 memory.
Graphic card in HP dv8301nr is ATI Mobility 200M and in Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G is ATI Xpress 200M.
Don't forget that you might not be able easily to upload/download pictures on HP dv8301nr from your camera during the lack of bluetooth connection.
HP dv8301nr have lack of infrared communication device.
Firewire useful for some video equipment communication is built-in both laptops.
PCMCIA on Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G unable them to connect to some TV cards .
Cardreaders are available in both laptops.
None has DVI output so you cannot connect them to some new LCD monitors.
These laptops aren't really good for Internet telephony because they haven't web camera.
Operating system is XP Media Center on HP dv8301nr and XP Home on Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1655G.
Only HP dv8301nr has special software pack : Works 8.5, Money 2006.
