CPU on our HP dv8301nr we've tested was Turion64 1.8GHz, and on Gateway MP8708 was Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0GHz.

If you think you will need more memory then you'll known than 2GB on Gateway MP8708 is better than 0.5GB on HP dv8301nr.

We like that graphic card on HP dv8301nr have own video memory (128MB) and therefore its faster since it doesn't use main memory and mainboard controller is less loaded.
