In HP dv9008nr we've found Turion64 X2 1.6GHz cpu and in HP Pavilion dv6108nr we have a pleasure to find Pentium M750 1.86GHz processor.
We prefere more 17" monitor on HP dv9008nr than 15.4" monitor on HP Pavilion dv6108nr.
HP dv9008nr notebook has better maximum screen resolution - 1440x900, in contrast to 1280x800 at HP Pavilion dv6108nr.
More RAM means less swapping when you run many programs at once and therefore HP dv9008nr with 1GB RAM is better choise than HP Pavilion dv6108nr with 0.5GB.
Both HP dv9008nr and HP Pavilion dv6108nr on our test use same type of RAM memory - DDR2.
Pavilion dv6108nr is quite lighter with its 3kg weight, than dv9008nr with 3.54kg.
Graphic card inside dv9008nr is Nvidia Go 6150 and other laptop uses Intel 950.
Video cards on both laptops uses 128MB of shared RAM from mainboard.
HP dv9008nr had more hard drive space (100 GB) - definetly something which users who hold movies on it will certainly like.
Rotating speed of hard drives are the same - 5400 rpm.
These laptops can communicate using firewire with camcorders and some other video devices.
Both models have PCMCIA built-in needed by some TV cards for laptops.
These notebooks have cardreaders inside them.
None has DVI output so you cannot connect them to some new TFT monitors.
