We like more LG S1-MDGBG 15.4" inch screen than Panasonic Toughbook CF-29's 13.3" size.
Maximum declared screen resolution on S1-MDGBG (1280x800) beats Toughbook CF-29 (1024x768).
We got more memory (1GB) in LG S1-MDGBG than in Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 (0.5GB).
With maximum 2GB of RAM it can support Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 can feel a bit more proud than LG S1-MDGBG.
Graphic is built around ATI Radeon X1600 on S1-MDGBG, but graphic on other laptop is Intel 915GMS.
LG S1-MDGBG seems to be better for gamers with 256MB of dedicated video memory.
More storage for multimedia (mpeg, avi) were available at LG S1-MDGBG (more space on hard disk).
Disadvantage of Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 is lack of bluetooth device which you might need for some mobile devices and cameras.
If you have infrared enabled devices if you buy LG S1-MDGBG you won't be able to communicate with them.
There are firewire built-in only on Panasonic Toughbook CF-29.
Only LG S1-MDGBG has PCMCIA.
Only model S1-MDGBG have cardreader inside.
If someone still uses old floppy disks (which we don't recommend since they are quite obsolete), Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 has floppy drive.
It is bad that these laptops cannot be connected to some new TFT monitors since they don't have DVI.
Advantage of LG S1-MDGBG is existance of TV output.
There are no web camera in notebooks which makes them bad for video conferencing .
Both of these came with XP Pro operating system.
Special adventages of these notebooks are : protection on vibrATIon, water, high temperatures and dust, touchpad and touchscreen for Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 and for LG S1-MDGBG.
