In Sony Vaio VGN-FE770G we've found Core 2 Duo T5600 1.83GHz cpu and in Gateway MX3414 we have a pleasure to find Turion X2 Dual 1.6GHz central processor unit.
We prefere more 15.4" monitor on Sony Vaio VGN-FE770G than 14.1" monitor on Gateway MX3414.
Inside both laptops were 1GB of memory.
Both Sony Vaio VGN-FE770G and Gateway MX3414 on our test had same amount of maximum RAM memory they can support - 2GB.
On both laptops in use is DDR2 memory.
Gateway MX3414 has less weight (2.4kg), comparing to 2.8kg on another laptop here.
Video card inside Vaio VGN-FE770G is Intel 950 and other laptop has Nvidia Go 6100 inside.
Up to 128MB of memory is substracted from mainboard for graphic card in use.
Sony Vaio VGN-FE770G had more storage for files (like mp3, avi) on hard drive.
Firewire (IEEE 1394) isn't built in Gateway MX3414.
Cardreader in Sony Vaio VGN-FE770G can read 5 different card types and in Gateway MX3414 can read 4 different card types.
These notebooks don't have DVI output to allow you to see its screen on bigger modern monitors.
Advantage of Sony Vaio VGN-FE770G is existance of TV output.
Each notebook has 3 USB ports.
These laptops aren't really good for video conferencing since they haven't web camera inside.
Operating system is XP Media Center on both.
Gateway MX3414 came with Works 8.5, Money 2006 as additional software, and Sony Vaio VGN-FE770G came with Works 8.5.
